When it comes to attitude, your reality is most likely going to reflect the attitude you bring to the table. If you're negative, your life, surroundings, peers, and overall perception of things will be negative. If you are positive, your chances of living a positive life increases substantially.
As a performer, you contribute to the ensemble through your performance, but also through your actions outside of performance demands. Everything from the way you communicate, the words you say, and your body language will influence everything around you. It is best to be positive, so your life has a chance to move in a positive direction.
That is not always the easiest thing to do. Sometimes life really sucks. You are put in uncomfortable situations, things don't go your way, or people you care about let you down. Whatever the case, you can't let adversity change your positive outlook. Do your best to be smart about your reactions to situations and approach everything you do with a positive attitude. When you do this, even through dark times, you see the light.
Remember, you are the only one who can control this, and if you bring a positive attitude with you everywhere you go, you will find yourself as a leader in life. And that influence you bring to the world will make a difference in other people's lives as well. The crazy part is, you might not even notice the impact you have until years later.
So be positive through adversity, even if it is without reward, to make a true difference.
